Wow it’s so sad. I didn’t expect ALL of them to die 😭
I kinda wish Susan was treated a lot better though, it seems so out of character for her brothers and sisters to speak about her as if she’s just a passing memory ‘ oh she is interested in grown up stuff now, no longer friend ‘. No indicator of them missing her, even when they found out they’re all dead they seem rejoiced or super cool about it, not even mentioning Susan after that.
I get it CS Lewis kinda want to just make the books for kids but it would be cool to see some resolution.
Overall I like the book, the adventures and love the return of the older characters. Just that I wish the characterization and resolution of the story was done better.
I also found out CS Lewis wanted to write a story about how Susan will eventually go back to Narnia but died before he gets to do it.

Well, idk if it’s sad. It’s allegorical, after all. >!The characters dying is both saying that they didn’t lose their childhood joy and that they didn’t reject Christianity, which is kind of funny after all the talking animals stuff. Essentially Susan became both a greyfaced adult and a “nonbeliever” which is why her staying alive is actually meant to be sadder than them dying and going to “heaven”!<
