Growing up, my whole family used to read regularly quite a lot. Me and my mom stopped about ten years ago, not for any particular reason really. A couple of years ago I started reading again, and I fell in love again. My mom has tried but keeps failing to find a book to really grab her attention. Her resolution in 2024 is to read more, so I’m hoping you can help me with some recommendations!
Her favorite book of all time is The Thorn Birds by Colleen McCullough. She loves Ireland and Britain. She’s also loved the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon, World Without End by Ken Follett, Bridges of Madison County, Maeve Binchy, Wally Lamb. She also likes biographies and memoirs.
She doesn’t like anything scary, “weird”, too vulgar sexually.
