Hopefully someone can help me. My sister and I are 10 years apart in age so I inherited a lot of her books as child.
One book in particular that I adored and was lost to me in a move had a pale pink, hard-cover, long and slender, not very many pages.
This was a nursery rhyme book with, best I can describe, very soft illustrations.
I *believe* Hickory Dickory Dock was apart of this, but one I remember for CERTAIN is a brief nursery story about “one for the mill maid dressed in silk”.
This was NOT Ms. Mary Mack.
I remember the cadence of the reading to be slightly off rhyme.
Very possibly the book was a purchased through the Avon company (though all my searches through the years have yielded no results).
Would’ve been published around 1970 – late 1980’s.
Can anyone help me?
