Hello, I’m trying to get back into reading, which I stopped when I first went into college because of how busy I was. At the time, a lot of my favorite books were coming of age stories, but I find I just don’t connect with anymore now that I’m older. I’ve been looking online for suggestions and the only ones I seem to find are smutty romance books which I’m not interested in, or books where the protagonists are children or teenagers.
I work with kids all day as I’m a teacher, and I just want something in my life that doesn’t revolve around children. Something that is adults only. Something that I can connect with, because I really don’t connect with prom night scenes when I’m about to enter grad school. Any suggestions?
