I never used to mind them ( I didn’t quite look forward to them, but I could tolerate them). But I’ve been of the opinion lately that they are all very uncreative and predictable. All the books I’ve read, the language is the same and they seem very repetitive (I mean I guess there are only so many positions and maybe sex in itself is repetitive, idk). Lately I’ve been preferring fade to black. Maybe as I get older I want to leave some things to the imagination for the reasons above.
I stay far away from romance for this reason, and I get annoyed when there are sex scenes in fantasy and sci fi books, especially when they seem nont needed — I mean I can get the idea without the explicit stuff, yeah? I’m not religious or against sex, but something about the way it’s written just irks me and I can’t place it.
