Hi everyone! Context: I’m an avid fan of American Literature from across the pacific ocean and I’ve recently bought 3 library of america books from the official Amazon seller store. Like they were shipped and delivered from the Amazon store itself. Since LOA doesn’t ship internationally, Amazon is the best distributor I’ve got to get my grubby hands on a sweet LOA book. They were:
1. Olmsted’s Writings
2. Ray Bradbury’s Illustrated Man
3. Oscar Hijuelos October Country
^ not the full titles ofc since I’m too lazy to type out the full thing.
And they were GLUED bindings? (I think).
Like there are literally big chunks of glue. This is…quite a deviation from my other LOA books like Longfellow and U.K. Le Guin’s writings. Those were very obviously smith-sewn bindings.
I’ve contacted their customer support just to get some clarity but would appreciate your comments too! Thank you 🙂
PS: I AM IN NO WAY HATING ON LOA or anything, heck I love em. (+ my everyman’s library). I just wanted to voice my thoughts and get some feedback from you guys!
And yes I will update this post once I’ve gotten clarification from LOA and Amazon.
