For the longest time, I hated reading because my ADHD made it difficult for me to sustain my attention. After strong encouragement from my two bookworm sisters, I have actually started enjoying reading with the help of Audible. So, here is what I like and don’t like and maybe you can help me pick my next read:
\- Currently working through the Bridgerton series and LOVE IT! I think I really love historical fiction romance with the dresses, gossip and high society stuff. Can’t get enough of it.
\- I just read the entire ACOTAR series and loved Nesta’s book the best. Watching her work through trauma and see the rawness of her anger really made for a great read for me.
\- I like fantasy, but sometime my brain gets tired with heavy lore, so it needs to be attainable and easy to grasp, if that makes sense.
\- Way back when, I enjoyed Hunger Games, Divergent and those classic young adult tales.
\- I don’t like Throne of Glass, took everything in me to finish it.
\- I don’t like stories about modern day real life unless it has a fun twist.
\- Not big on crime or mystery or anything spooky
\- LOVED James Patterson’s Witch and Wizard series. It had short chapters, was fast paced and an exhilarating read
\- I am a sucker for romance novels, but can’t do heavy smut. I like a sprinkling of spicy scenes
