I recently got intrigued by Fyodor Doestoevsky, his life, his era and his work. I was curious what is the first book of his that I should take a shot at reading? Where should i not start? Why/why not?
I have access to Crime and Punishment, Brothers Karamazov, The Gambler, The Idiot, The Double, Notes from the Underground and his book of short stories called Poor Folk. I’ve looked them all up online and they all seem intriguing, I was just curious where you guys think I should start and why? Is there one I definitely should avoid reading first? Why?
