Happy holidays y’all! This is one of the first Christmases in a while that didn’t include any books for me under the tree, which is kinda funny because I’ve been wanting to get back into reading more this coming year. I’ve had a tumultuous year and a half and reading fell by the wayside. Now, I feel a bit more settled and I want to dive in again.
The last book I read that *really* captivated me was Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami (read last year). I’ve never been good at keeping up with new books so I haven’t read anything recent. I like both fiction and non-fiction (though I am craving fiction a bit more right now), short stories/essays and longer works. I like old classics as well as newer stuff. I do not like Stephen King, Charles Dickens, high fantasy, or gory violence. I’m open to suggestions!
