In 2023, for me, that word was “deal,” as in the soft wood used to make cheap tables. I read a lot of historical fiction and non-fiction and I feel like everything I’ve read lately has had a deal table in it. I’m assuming it was always thus and I somehow just never noticed it before.
What is your term or word that you saw in a book that suddenly seems to be everywhere you look? (Rhyme unintentional, but I’m leaving it in.)
