Hi readers, I have just started to read books in the English language recently. However, I have no idea what books to start with properly as my English level is B1 and I’m looking to improve it. Pls, recommend any books that u guys think might align with me. I appreciate it.

I’d start with YA books since they usually have easier language and are easy to follow.
I started with Papertowns by John Green.
Otherwise I’d maybe try reading a book you already know in your first language and try that in English because you’ll know what’s going on even if you don’t understand every single word or sentence.
Do you mind me asking what genre you’re looking for?
Like, I read a lot of fantasy. David Gemmell is a fun, action-packed fantasy author with straightforward plots.
Someone like the comedy/fantasy author Terry Pratchett plays with language a lot more, and might be a fun ‘stretch’. Pratchett enjoys word play AND a lot of fans have [annotated his work](https://www.lspace.org/books/apf/index.html). So he might be a good author if you want to feel like you’re occasionally solving a language-puzzle.
Then there’s stuff like Tamora Pierce that’s technically YA, but is beloved by adults, so it uses simpler language while still having good narrative tension.
At a B1 level you’re best to stick to graded readers. They might be available through your local library – talk to a librarian for the trick to searching for them, as they can be specifically coded. I think you can also buy them as e-books in bundles.
