I recently read a book where the mom’s personality completely turned as her kids were in danger and she didn’t go as far as I thought she would but the storyline intrigued me. I’d love to read a story about a mom going to impossible lengths for the sake of her children/family. I prefer mysteries/thrillers, but could be open to other genres. Bonus points if the mom is successful in her endeavors but you can keep the description vague

Shatter or The Children of Man series my Elizabeth C Mock takes place in a fantasy setting about a mother who possesses a certain magic, doing what she can to ensure her child is safe. The child itself does not have a large presence in the book, but the struggle of a mother trying to keep her kid safe is prevalent.
