    Please recommend some steamy werewolves and/or vampire romance books that also meet the following requirements:
    -> DO NOT contain rape! non-con (if light) is okay in small doses.
    -> the female character is smart and strong (inside and/or outside)
    -> the male character is not a chauvinist and doesn’t treat women like walking boobs/ass stick.
    -> the male character doesn’t treat the female like a doormat and if he does (because he’s young and stupid for example), he pays for it for a long time.
    -> no kids, no babies, no getting knocked up by force or accident
    -> no deep emotional drama/abuse that goes on for most of the book and takes over the story. Some in the backstory is fine or if it’s easily overcome by the characters.
    -> it needs to be well written. I like world building, deep and realistic characters, eloquent language. First “you’re” instead of “your” and I’m out of here.
    -> haters to lovers – yes please! This and other cliche tropes allowed. 🙂
    -> I haven’t found any decent MM werewolves romance that meets the above but I love me some paranormal smut yaoi manga so if you have any recommendations, please help.
    -> Did I mention I want it steamy? Like boiling hot. 🙂

    👑👑👑 the winners of my search so far 👑👑👑
    🌸Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews
    🌸 The tyrant alpha rejected mate – Five Pack series by Cate C. Wells

    ===

    So far, I like the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews (Magic Bites and others) and I loved how Cullen and Kate treat each other (relationships goals right there!)

    Other than that, based on other discussions, I’m gonna read the Psy-Changelling series by Nalini Sighs and Five Packs series by Cate C.Wells.

    Please help me find my next guilty-pleasure wereRomance. 💚🐕

    ==== update ====

    I’ve just finished the first one of the Five Pack series “The tyrant alpha rejected mate” and I really liked how angsty it was. The story was nice, the cliches were well-written and I really enjoyed the growth of the male character.
    Also, I REALLY appreciated the queer hints.
    I guess it could go on the list.

    If you’re thinking of reading it, I 100% recommend it. 🙂

      Have you read the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris? It’s vampires. They based the True Blood TV show on the books, but after season 2 or 3 the story deviates a lot from the novels. I think it hits all your points fairly well.

      Unfortunately I can’t think of any werewolf romance books at all. Hopefully you get some good suggestions on that front cause I am keen to read a smutty werewolf novel too!

    2. For MM, maybe try Wolfsong by TJ Klune? More emotion than steamy, but it gets there (quite intensely)!

      I work in a bookshop and yesterday stumbled across a book called ‘That Time I Got Drunk and Yeeted a Love Potion at a Werewolf’ by Kimberly Lemming. I haven’t read it so can’t say how well it matches what you are looking for, but it honestly looked charming and I want to read it myself XD it’s part of a series but I don’t think the others have werewolves or vampires, alas!

      I’m sure there are more – a more specialised subreddit like romancebooks might be able to help further.
