I’m interested in reading a book about finding peace, mindfulness, love, connection, ego, kindness. I spend a lot of time in nature and have studied herbalism in the past, so something that draws upon the natural world would be wonderful, but doesn’t have to.
I’m in limbo right now–finishing my master’s thesis and feeling trapped behind a screen and a desk. My former jobs were physical and outdoors–I miss it. I feel like I’m at a point in my life where I’m being asked to turn inwards and learn to find peace with the pace of my life, to let things unfold naturally, and to use this quiet time to do some deep inner work.
For some context, I love poetry (been inspired by Rumi lately) and currently loving Sprout Lands (about our connection to woody plants through ancient practices of coppicing/pollarding). I mostly read fiction and poetry, but I will happily branch into non-fiction.
