It is literally an “enemies to lovers” book about a KKK member and the heir to a Mexican Drug Cartel.

I made a post the other day about how much I dislike “dark romance” but I deleted it because people were getting on my nerves.

And I mentioned this book and this person was like “obviously dark romance readers know the difference between pushing boundaries and racist shit.”

Is that why this book has 4.3 stars on Goodreads with over 6k reviews and ratings?

How are you going to tell me I only think something is wrong if it doesn’t abide by my standards and then pull the exact same stunt? And then call me a hypocrite on top of that?

Anyway, I don’t know why anyone allowed this book to be published or why it has such positive feedback, but I would love to know your thoughts on it, especially after the same author wrote the popular “A Thousand Boy Kisses” (which I actually did really like).

Because how do you go from writing a sweet and heartbreaking romance to this abomination?
