Im about 10% into the book and I can’t seem to follow. There are random scenes where I can’t figure out if things are really happening or it they’re metaphors. For instance there was a mention of the sky ripping in half and mentions of bees in his wife’s ears and metal threads connecting her eyes to the ceiling or something. I just don’t know what to make of all this since I don’t really know what universe I’m in. It’s a bit disorientating. Is this intentional?
Sometimes I’m not sure if I wasn’t paying sufficient attention at the start and whether I’ve missed some important details that are supposed to orient me. Thanks
