I liked it, thought it was a solid 7/10 feel good not very scientific sci-fi book. However, I see a lot of reviews treating it as the greatest sci-fi book ever written. Are most of these coming from people who don’t read sci-fi or speculative fiction in general? It doesn’t really do anything particularly better than any other book I’ve read in the genre, and does some things significantly worse, such as characters, story, science, and prose. What does it offer that Bobiverse, for example, doesn’t?
