When I was a kid I read a book where the narrator was a person that didn‘t appear in the story, but knew all the characters in it. Essentially we followed the narrator during the process of him writing down the adventure of his friends, with him actively commenting on the choices they made etc.
Ever since I‘ve been enamoured with this writing style, as I found (and still find it) pretty interesting and funny. I really really like the idea of a story idea of mine getting narrated in this style, but having just this book to reference isn‘t enough. Which is why I turn to you:
Do you have any book reccomendations where this type of „story that is told by an outsider to it“ narration was done well? You can also send in examples where you think it sucked, maybe that way I can learn what to avoid.
Thank you all so much in advance! (The book I read was This book isn‘t good for you by Pseudonymous Bosch/Raphael Simon, no I haven‘t read his other books yet but I‘m in the process of getting through them)
