I will preface by saying that I greatly enjoy the Arthurian stories, so I have read all the original stories previously written during the Middle Ages.

When I learned that there was a modern retelling of Lancelot’s origin story in tandem with a reimagination of Arthuriana, I sunk my teeth into *Lancelot* with zeal and gusto. Afterward, I read *Camelot,* which followed the adventures of Lancelot’s son, Galahad. I enjoyed that as well. To date, Kristian is set to release the conclusion of his Arthurian Tales series in June 2024, a book simply called *Arthur.*

Thus, I have been on the prowl for books written similarly to *Lancelot* and *Camelot. C*an I get some recommendations for historical fiction books set in the Middle Ages? Alternatively, I would be interested to know if anyone has ever written a book that, perhaps, retells the events of the Trojan War through the eyes of Achilles.

I am well-aware of *The Song of Achilles* by Madeline Miller, but after sampling the book, I just didn’t enjoy the way it was written.

I cast a tall order, but does anyone have any book suggestions for me?
