i’m looking for books about female relationship, intimacy, companionship, etc. i’m doing a project about the depth of female friendship and how it’s one of the most powerful kinds of connections in the world, so i’m looking for relationships that transcend the definition of just “normal friendship”, however nothing that is explicitly lesbianism (i come from a homophobic country). basically, i’m just looking for books where female relationship is portrayed as something more profound and deep than it usually is portrayed, something that could be seen as almost lesbianism if looked at extremely closely by a lesbian herself.
i’m trying to avoid contemp fiction, ya fiction, etc. more literary fiction, historical fiction is preferred. i understand that these criteria are really specific and i apologise in advance! thank you 🙂
