My grandmas in hospital at the moment and I wanted to get her about 3 new books to try out and keep her entertained, but I’m not a big book reader so I have no clue where to start
hp was her unrivalled fav until i introduced her to lord of the rings and now she rereads both series a lot. i tried doing the same with hunger games and she liked the movies and read the books, but didn’t like them enough to reread them
she really liked the game of thrones show and i thought the books would end up being on the same fav level as hp/lotr but she had trouble getting through the first book and ended up not liking it
i think she’d like something fantasyish with good world building and action, she doesn’t seem fussed on romance but i don’t think she’d hate it, but probably wouldn’t be that interested if it was a romance focused book
any suggestions? bonus points if there’s a movie or tv adaptation (but not necessary)
