It can be hated tropes, judging a book by its cover, a book you thought was terrible but it beloved by more people than you’d like to admit.. I’m looking for the juicy details.
My own is: I don’t think I’ll ever pick up a romance book suggested by TikTok, no matter HOW entertaining it may seem, just to save myself the pain of going through a published Wattpad-esque storyline. All that’s missing from those books are the author updates where they say: “sorry, my family died in a crash last month, here’s chapter 9.”
