It’s the end of 2023. My goal was 30 books, but I “only” got through 23. I unexpectedly had a huge job change and moved across the country in the middle of the year, so I don’t feel all that bad for missing the mark.
23 books, according to my Goodreads, worked out to nearly 10,000 pages with some not-so-easy reads included (500+ pages). But when I see the sheer number of books people read this year, I still feel a little self-conscious!
It’s so silly. If I think about it for two seconds I know it means literally nothing. But damn, one of these years I’d love to read something wild like 50 books. I almost ripped through some short ones these past couple months solely to make up the difference and get to my goal lol
