Hi! For a little context, I usually read a lot of technical books but I’m feeling a little burned out, so I’m looking for a fantasy book to escape to and start 2024 well. Among other things, I’ve read:
\- Stormlight Archive, Mistborn, etc
\- Lightbringer (hated the ending but really liked it overall)
\- Kingkiller chronicle
\- Percy Jackson (when I was younger)
I’ve mostly read Sanderson’s books, but I’m willing to try new things. Other style of things I like is Game of Thrones or House of the Dragon, but things like LotR don’t catch my attention. I value dearly relationships among characters and that their characterizations feel real (I don’t like most Sanderson’s characters because they feel fake to me). Also I like the toned down style of magic and rich culture in GoT or HotD for example.
What books could you recommend me?
Thanks in advance!
