I’m looking for a book recommended by a teacher. For brief context, my teacher told us to write an essay about money being the root of all evil and I wrote about topics that supported the idea, like the lengths people go to to get money and how we are taught to be greedy to earn it to some extent, the favor for the rich and whatnot but concluded with the idea that the love of money is the root of all evil.
As feedback I was told to read a book on Project Gutenberg and I don’t know the name or author but I remember the first few paragraphs being about how economists have no true historical evidence to show how bad the barter system failed us, and some examples of tribes or places using.. does this ring a bell for anyone?
