I should begin by mentioning that I have not been one to read outside of required readings for school in my past. I have wanted to begin but have not finished a book for fun in about 4ish years.

I am so glad that my first exposure in my hopeful return to reading was The Echo Wife by Sarah Gailey. It is such an immersive book, as the author does such a great job of illustrating raw and powerful emotions from all characters. I felt like the development of the characters and the style of narration captured the story really well.

The dark nature of the narrators perspective on the world was great, and the unpredictability of the story kept me reading. The book does give off a vastly increased level darkness toward the back half lol, but it was a book I will be recommending to many people.

I am looking for book recommendations for anyone who has read this book and similarly enjoyed it. I loved the technological dystopian vibe of The Echo Wife, but I really am more looking for similarly captivating books. It doesn’t need to be the same genre. I am looking for realistic fictional books with a good narrator, or something similar. Currently starting “Magic For Liars” by Gailey as a chaser!
