I’ve got a hunger for a specific kind of book. Someone leaving the busy city and moving to a small village/cottage- bonus points if it’s in another country- and learning to reconnect and live a simpler life.
Please no romance. I am so tired of “the whole situation is emotionally fixed by proximity to someone of the opposite gender.”
I want a low stakes plot where the whole thing is about accepting and learning to love the new situation.
Graphic novels in this vein are also welcome.
