Basically looking to personify a cool ass grandma and learn all I can from them… through books.
I have a small city lot and I want to learn about ways to optimize our garden and become more self-sufficient, to can and preserve, become more thrifty and move away from consumerism in our late-capitalist society.
I know a little about victory gardens but I really want to sink my teeth into their history and impact on society.
Lastly, I’m a midsized person who really wants to create custom garments that fit my body and I have an affinity for the 30s and 40s. (Also Edwardian era but that doesn’t fit the rest of the docket here).
Any books or resources you can suggest would be much appreciated!!
