So my sister in law loves memoires. In particular she’s always been fond of finding stories about interesting or badass women of any background, profession or time period and this year she’s my secret santa.
I’ve been browsing Goodreads but nothing is jumping at me.
I’m thinking I might go for “Breaking Through: My Life in Science” by Katalin Karikó, since it has good reviews and her research led to the COVID vaccine, seems like an interesting enough life she lead, but I’m not sure if the reviews are recency/subject biased since I didn’t know who she was yet felt immediately grateful.
So instead I figured I’d turn to the hive mind and see if there are any killer hidden gems out there I could gift. Or hell, maybe someone read Katalin’s book and can tell me if it’s any good.
