By ‘TikTok’ book I basically mean any book that you’ve seen repeatedly shoved down your throat every time you enter a bookshop since 2020. (Hate that this is the world now 😭). Idk though, I think it would be interesting to see which ones were actually great, and which you are deeply concerned and confused by (in terms of how this got so big).
1) for me this is easy, many books could take this spot but I’m giving it to Fourth Wing because that’s recent.
2) surprisingly, Normal People by Sally Rooney. this was quite a drastic change for me (I’m a high-fantasy sorta person), but I had an enjoyable time with this book and liked Rooney’s writing for the most part. (I also engulfed the whole thing super quickly which is a good sign lmao) – Will be checking out more of her stuff eventually.
