I know this is a long shot there’s a song called a Million Dreams (from greatest showman) that I love and every time I hear it I just want to read a book of two childhood friends that turn into lovers mixed with a second chance trope! The problem is though alot of what I’ve read like that feels like it follows the same format where either
1. The girl has no idea how much the boy likes her this whole time and realizes she loves him at the end of the book
or
2. The girl loves the guy and he loves her but does something that screws up their relationship and it’s revealed at the end something terrible had happened and the girl forgives him and they get together
Nothing is wrong with these two things I just would like to read something where the idea of the friends to lovers/second chance tropes are still there but the plot feels refreshingly new
