As the title says, I just finished reading One Hundred Years of Solitude for the first time two days ago and I’m legitimately blown away! This phrase isn’t even really in my vocabulary but the first thing I thought when I finished was “holy moly.”
I can’t believe I made it 35 years without reading this masterpiece, but in a way I’m glad I did because I don’t know that I would have been able to appreciate it the way I do now. I checked it out from the library but I’ll probably buy this one..
I’m honestly not even sure I can say that I liked it, but I can’t stop thinking about it so I don’t know what else to say lol. I’m in awe. Whatever Gabriel Garcia Marquez was smoking (literally or figuratively) I want some. If I never read another book I’d be fine. I know I’m rambling and not even talking about the book, but I’m still kind of speechless after two days.
