When I started reading books. They were good and enjoyable to an extent. Some beautifully written stories and lessons.
But ever since I read some of the old classics. I could not think of any of the books before that, that I read which captured this intense feeling of relatability and realness.
It’s like the stories that writers of past centuries wrote seem more grounded and real to me from my place than any other work. At times even the most absurd labeled stories make complete sense to me.
This is not a dig at new writers or a sense of superiority that I understand more than others. But simply that Classics are my new found love in books.
