I struggle to finish a book now and I used to get absorbed by YA (silly girly series like The Clique, Pretty Little Liars, Gossip Girl, Twilight, etc).
I’m 29, I don’t want to read YA (slightly unrelatable) but almost everything I’ve picked up I struggle to finish.
The adult romance genre (like Mhairi McFarlane and Sophie Kinsella) don’t do it for me (all feel a bit cliche and I’m too bitter for romance), so I’m thinking maybe less romance and more thriller. Liane Moriarty could work but I find her writing a bit too long and winding and I didn’t enjoy it.
Is there anything for me? Easy to read, fun, page turner, not too smart but adult characters
