I love showing people Vonnegut, and I think Slaughterhouse-Five would be a great novel for him to read if he could get past the Tralfamadorians /other sci fi elements, and the anti-war sentiments. My grandpa wasn’t old enough to participate in a war but he was a part of the Canadian Military and loves reading about WWI/ WWII.
Do you think he would be able to get into Vonnegut? I know he enjoyed Catcher in the Rye when he was a kid, but he mostly reads non-fiction nowadays.
