So if there’s a book with an annoying or whiny or dislikable protagonist who you hate reading the PoV from, do you finish the book? Does it hamper your enjoyment at all?
I know there’s some who will go to both ways, but I want to see the split. For me, if I hate a protagonist, I usually drop the book.
There’s some that I can force myself through, but I’ve pretty much always hated the book looking back. I know it’s intentional in some cases like Holden Caulfield, but that doesn’t make it fun to read for me.
