i started reading the clockwork orange today, i have already seen the movie so spoilers arent necessary just talk freely.
i had seen past posts talking about how people had trouble reading it because of the made up language. Im listening to the audiobook and im unsure of how people dont understand this. Its self explanatory the words he chose to use. They have the same meaning. like uv is ultra violence, and the words for when they describe violent actions are mostly just the sound of the action.
maybe i watch to much bbc and old british shows on pbs but this book isnt hard to understand. is it just me? i feel like im listening to any other book. ive actually had a harder time listening and understanding books like gravitys rainbow.
plus there was a forward that was totally important from the author that explained the language.
