I am currently reading *To Shape a Dragon’s Breath* by Moniquill Blackgoose and I absolutely love it. One of the main character’s friends is autistic (not officially labeled as such but is very clearly meant to be autistic by the author) and it made me realize that I would like more autistic representation in fantasy and scifi. They are my preferred genres but I didn’t really realize until now how nice it is to see myself reflected in books.
I’ve read Elantris in which I know the character Adien is said to be autistic-coded but I wasn’t a huge fan of how he was presented.
Does anyone have any recommendations? Especially if they are a main character or a large side character. Thank you!
