… and it was brilliant! I truly enjoyed the recursion of writer’s perspective (oftentimes I was thinking ‘so Kuang is writing about this writer who is at the end gonna write about herself… what?!! how freaking amazing is that!’)
Yes, the protagonist is completely repulsive and sometimes reading this book was so difficult, but the beauty of it all was in the impossibility of putting this book away. I caught myself thinking about it when I was busy with other stuff. I couldn’t wait to finish it and yet I didn’t want to finish it. And as we know, that is a GOOD sign.
Anyways, this book is as amazing as they say. 10/10.
P.S. I just found out that Kuang is 27 years old. Wow!!
