I got this book in the book section of my grocery store and read a single page to see if I’d be into it. I was so I bought it.
This book is about a family of 4 that move into a haunted house and strange things start to happen like weird noises and weird texts on the daughter’s end.
Before picking up this book huge trigger warning. There’s sexual assault, suicide, and self harm all in grave detail.

Okay so for those who read the book already, how did you feel about the ending? Because I hated it.
I hated that Julian died. Loved when he broke the curse on that land but it felt like the entity won.
I wish I knew who won the lawsuit that Claire was in the middle of with that teacher who was wrongfully fired. I enjoyed the origins of the land her house was built on I just wish I knew where the entity originated like where it came from because according to the book it’s just always been there.
Would have liked if James and robbie found out more about the house in their little headquarters like Claire did with her work by accident. I think that would have taken the story to another level.
Finally I wish that Megan told her friend what happened at the sleepover while she was awake and the entity was in her room. They already knew the house was haunted from playing with an ouija bored and saw the entity as a result. There’s no reason why I would have preferred this other than that’s what I would have done.
