I really liked The Girl on the Train. Easy read, but I still like it.
Woman in The Window is one of my all time favourite of this Genre.
And I like all of Gillian Flynn.

I’m a king fan, and would say that Insomnia and Billy Summers are some of the best I’ve ever read. Although, with Billy Summers id argue if you’re not looking for subtlety it’s less psychological thriller, more just a beautiful soul sucking journey. Insomnia is fuckin wild though.

Nobody has mentioned one of my faves, an English husband and wife team who write under the name Nicci French. They have a series with days of the week in the title about a psychoanalyst, which I don’t much like.
But I love all their other books. There’s sometimes violence but it’s mainly psychological and very unpredictable.
Their books often feature strong female characters who get the better of male villains.
