All of Liane Moriarty books. They generally aren’t terrifying, just sort of uneasy

      Verity by Coleen Hoover

A Flicker In The Dark by Stacy Willingham* finished this yesterday & it was so good!

The Housemaid & The Housemaids Secret by Frieda McFadden (3rd book coming January 2024) *first book takes a little while to get into story line but worth it!

Those are just the few I’ve read recently. On my book shelf waiting to be read are:

The Coworker, Never Lie, The Inmate, The Locked Door , all by Frieda McFadden

Twenty years later, by Charlie Donlea

Another vote for Verity by Colleen Hoover. One of the biggest brainfucks I’ve read in awhile lol

    9. I really liked The Girl on the Train. Easy read, but I still like it.

Woman in The Window is one of my all time favourite of this Genre.

And I like all of Gillian Flynn.

check out Lucy Foley!! Her books are fantastic, my favorites are “The Guest List” and “The Hunting Party”

    11. I’m a king fan, and would say that Insomnia and Billy Summers are some of the best I’ve ever read. Although, with Billy Summers id argue if you’re not looking for subtlety it’s less psychological thriller, more just a beautiful soul sucking journey. Insomnia is fuckin wild though.

    12. Nobody has mentioned one of my faves, an English husband and wife team who write under the name Nicci French. They have a series with days of the week in the title about a psychoanalyst, which I don’t much like.

But I love all their other books. There’s sometimes violence but it’s mainly psychological and very unpredictable.

Their books often feature strong female characters who get the better of male villains.
