your take on “and here’s what happened after we crash landed/found ourselves on this planet”?

I been wanting read more and this is the only thing I have in mind as to a starting point.

I tend to like more realistic sci fi and stay away from writing that feels cheesy or disingenous.

for example I like the concept of The Murderbot Diaries, but couldn’t get into it, and grew up reading Orson Scott Card.

and I wasn’t a fan of The Hitchiker’s Guide to the Galaxy when I did try to start it.

I’m currently reading Stoner by John Williams, if that helps.
