I have a friend who had a difficult relationship with her university studies, so much so that it led her to abandon her studies. In September, however, she re-enrolled at the same university to try again. Today she seems much more motivated, and I’m very happy about it.
In the past I think that some problems were due to the fear of not being up to par, the anxiety of university life, the pressure of having to hurry and the fear of falling behind, etc.
For Christmas, therefore, I would like to give her a book that talks about this, that deals with these issues and that can reassure her if she were to feel the same pressures that led her to abandon university the first time.
It can also be a “metaphorical” story, where there is a parallel with her situation.
