I’m reading this contemporary retelling of Anna Karenina and I’m about 1/3 in the book, but the characters are almost making me drop the book. The plot is interesting and the storytelling is fine, but the characters are really annoying. I know it’s supposed to depict the superficiality of the “elite”, but those characters are just too much. From those who have read it, does it get any better?? Is it worth it to go through the read?
