My mother’s stepson is 10 and has additional learning needs. He’s quite behind in terms of reading skills for his age but does still really like to read.
I was thinking of getting him a set of either Harry Potter or Percy Jackson but my boyfriend said he thinks they might be too hard to read for him. I haven’t read them since I was ~10 and don’t remember them being at all difficult to read but I was also very ahead in terms of reading skills at that age.
Does anyone know whether these books might be challenging for him at his age? And if so if there’s any other book series that might be more appropriate? Thanks!
