I really love Andy Weir’s books and how he goes into pretty heavy detail about the science he discusses–stuff like actually discussing the chemistry behind turning rocket fuel to/from water in The Martian, the physics of how a made-up light-absorbing organism could act as fuel in Project Hail Mary, and even the geochemistry of mineral exploitation on the moon in Artemis. A lot of other hard scifi I’ve read takes theories about space-related topics and speculates on them in realistic ways, but sort of glosses over the nitty-gritty science of it. I find those details super fun and engaging, so I was wondering if there are any other books like that?
