Hey, I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a book that helps the reader analyze society in a critical way. More specifically, one that gets into the different factors that influence society, people, politics, etc. and explain why things are the way they are.
Some books I’ve already read or have had recommended to me about this subject are:
The Sociological Imagination by C. Wright Mills
The Power Elite also by C. Wright Mills
Capital in the Twenty-First Century by Thomas Piketty
The Social Construction of Reality by Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckmann
Manufacturing Consent by Noam Chomsky
If anyone has any other books they recommend about the topic, I would love to hear them.
