I just finished reading {Happy Place by Emily Henry} and loved the characters and the love they have for each other. Now craving for more ex to lovers second chance books that also **consist**:
* Shorter time frame (1-4 years ago) where they reunite preferred
* Great & convincing chemistry
* Will make me cry (because of their love, angst/longing or other themes)
* Great character development
* Adult fiction (open to YA)
* Even better if it includes:
* best friend/soul mate kind of relationship or a long history
* secret, forbidden or fake relationship
* forced proximity/one bed
* great writing & ending
* contemporary setting (open to historical and other genres)
* show don’t tell writing style
I would love something different that are not already suggested on the 3 year old ex to lover threads and **does not** **include**
* Cheating/Rape
* Alpha Males/Bad boys/Players (flirtatious guys like Caldon from The Prison Healer series are acceptable)
* High School setting/history (besties in college or growing up since infancy preferred, below <40 age group) but open if it’s rlly good
* Too much Sex (every few pages that it becomes so boring)
It **does not matter** if the romance is a sub plot or main plot as long as the plot is good.
