Now, I’m really only looking for fiction. But genre doesn’t matter all that much to me. If you found it interesting, I might too. I don’t just want to explore vocabulary, but dialects, interpersonal slang and quirks of the English language. Books I’ve found that did the same sort of job for me previously include:
\- The Secret History by Donna Tartt
\- If We Were Villains by M.L Rio
\- Harlem Shuffle by Colson Whitehead
\- One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest by Ken Kesey
I really enjoyed all of these books, so if you do need me to specify genres, anything that falls within a similar realm as one of these would be great.
