In my country (Spain) public libraries have a lot of e-books. And one thing I like a lot is that practically always the books are available to take, very rarely you have to wait for it to be available.
The problem is that the Kindle is not compatible with this system. They have a mobile app, web reading and some e-readers other than the Kindle are compatible. I don’t like their reading app very much, and since I spent money on the Kindle, I want to keep using it during this period I am going to be reading books from the library.
This is the solution I have come up with: Normally I’m against piracy. But if I see that a book is available at the library, I could download it to the Kindle to read it there instead of reading it on the library app. Put in that light I don’t see it as stealing from the author, because if I don’t download it to the Kindle I would still read it for free on the library app anyway.
Do you think it’s morally right to do that in those circumstances?
